Third Tuesday of the month, 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM
Prayer is a powerful tool that God has provided for us. We have chosen to combine the gift of prayer with a quilt for someone in need.
A prayer quilt is a quilt that is made by a group of people who are invested in the ministry. We make quilts for adults and children facing surgery, cancer patients going through treatments, accidents, and other needs.
Once a quilt is made, ties are added to it. We will then have the quilt at church for people to stop, tie a knot, and say a prayer. Can you touch a prayer? Can you pull it closed and feel its comfort? You can when it is part of a prayer quilt.
Our group meets every third Tuesday of the month from 10AM to 1PM. You can find us upstairs in Room 206 at Celebration Community Church.
You do not need to know how to quilt to be a part of the group. We simply need people to cut fabric, iron, put ties into the quilt tops, as well as sew. We also need volunteers to stand with the quilt prior to each church service.
Please come and join us if you are interested! If you have any questions, please contact Joan Spence or Jan Johnson at prayers.squares@44life.com.
