Saturday Seminar, Feb 19, 2022 from 9:00-11:00am
Dr. Joe Rigney of Bethlehem College and Seminary
Events of recent years have accelerated cultural confusion about what it means to be a human: Who am I? What does it mean to be a healthy person in body and soul? What does it mean to be a man or woman? And how do we minister to those who are asking these questions? We believe that God, who created humans to be his image bearers, not only gives us the correct answers in Scripture but that those answers result in the most satisfying life imaginable. In his wisdom God has also preserved for us the testimony of church history on these matters, and we have much to learn from those who have come before us.
Join us for this two-hour seminar, as Dr. Joe Rigney helps us to navigate some of these important issues. During our time, we will cover three areas: (1) introducing what it means to be a human created in the image of God; (2) how this intersects with counseling and mental health concerns; and (3) a basic framework for biblical manhood and womanhood.
Any adult is welcome to attend. Cost is free. Light refreshments will be available. Please register above for yourself or a group.
Optional Post-Seminar Lunch with Dr. Rigney: For those who are interested in hearing more about ministry and partnership opportunities with Bethlehem College and Seminary, where Dr. Rigney serves as President and Associate Professor of Theology and Literature, there will be an optional lunch after the seminar (location TBD).
