From beginning to end, the Bible reveals to us a personal God who is seeking to redeem a people for himself—a people from every tribe and tongue and language and nation. In the Old Testament, God promises Abraham that all the families of the earth will be blessed through Abraham’s offspring. In the New Testament, that promise comes to fulfillment through Jesus Christ and the salvation he offers to all who will believe in him. This redeemed people, the Church, is then called to go to the nations proclaiming the Gospel. God’s heart is for the nations of the world to enjoy Him and to glorify Him forever! Do you share that heart for the nations?
In this course, we will survey the biblical teaching on missions and what God is doing in the world. We will seek to offer some practical direction and next steps on how you can engage in God’s global mission in your own life and as part of Celebration Community Church. This class will broaden your perspective on God’s work in the world beyond just your own personal circumstances and perhaps lead you to a renewed sense of God’s purpose for your life.
